Coffee Brand – Di Bella
Back in the day we would frequent Replete and were blown away by the whole cafe experience…and that is what Replete still represents for us.
On the whole the café does outstanding well, exemplified by its many awards for food and service. Bearing that in mind, the way they make coffee is the weakest of their otherwise formidable front. They are food oriented, and as such the coffee will always play second fiddle. If it is passable then it is not noticed and it is easy to rave about their Providore.
Their coffee is pedestrian and out of line with the rest of the experience. There would only need to be a small improvement here to take it to a recommended place for coffee. We must stress that because we only review coffee that this is in no way a slight against the business as a whole because they deserve their reputation and any foodie reviewing this place will find excellence.
We still love Replete, but there is a little work to do on the coffee front.
Score Summary. NOTE: No ristrettos were ordered on any of the visits. A long Macchiato was ordered on the 1st visit.
