If you have followed all of our previous reviews of Monk Bodhi Dharma, you could probably predict what we are going to write in this summary.
One thing we haven’t noted yet is that Monk Bodhi Dharma’s ambiance and service ooze comfort and care. Their “sustainable and healing food made from scratch” focus creates an environment that is both warm and cosy. Don’t be surprised to see the kitchen staff walking through the venue taking orders…this is just what happens. It seems everyone helps out everyone, which is just so lovely to see. The expression “Where is the love?” can indelibly be answered with “Monk Bodhi Dharma!”
The overall coffee experience has been high, and consistent. In fact its consistency in scoring highly across all coffees is reflected in the overall score. It is one of life’s little pleasures when the small, unknown, out of the way place stands tall above some of the more well known and talked about specialty coffee venues.
We have noticed at least two baristas, and they make coffee like twins make fingerprints…similar but not carbon-copies. Based upon our experiences each coffee is crafted with drive and precision. Despite it being a small venue, they also appear to be able to hold up well in busy periods.
This place has kind of emerged out of the blue to dominate the current rankings. But on reflection it’s not surprising really. What is surprising is the ease in which Monk Bodhi Dharma has done it.

…what a great summary of this most amazing new cafe!! The MAGIC coffee is by far the most gorgeous ‘coffee experience’ I have ever had. The food is fantastic too, great creative spirits run free here in MBD. Well done Kate & Marwin….and the rest of the gang….
